See my excitement in the title? That shit is legit (people still say that, right?). So let's not waist time. Here’s the trailer:
With a small cast of colorful characters and taking place in the claustrophobic setting of a stagecoach stopover (on a mountain during a blizzard), the upcoming Hateful Eight is supposedly going to be a return to form for our favorite film-lovin’ director, Quentin Tarantino. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, QT said:
“For me [‘The Hateful Eight’] has more of a Western Iceman Cometh kind of vibe about it… A bunch of guys in a room who can’t trust each other [a la ‘Reservoir Dogs’]. That wasn’t a marching order when I sat down to write the script, but pretty quickly I realized this is kind of a nice coming-full-circle.”Here’s hoping he’s not just blowing smoke. Because while we all love the big, bloody, sprawling epics, it was Tarantino’s early films like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and (although he only wrote it) True Romance that really nabbed our hearts (er, and ears).
The Hateful Eight is so-far set to be released in theaters on December 25, 2015 (only in 70 mm film format on Christmas Day before being released in digital theaters on January 8, 2016).
