Let's Play OUTLAST

Today we begin playing the 2013, first-person horror game, Outlast. We hop in the shoes of a go-getter journalist, named Miles Upshur, who’s headed to a place called Mount Massive Asylum to break a big story about the Murkoff Corporation. I don’t know who the Murkoff Corporation is, what they do, why we dislike and distrust them, or, well, anything else, really. But to heck with it, I’m in. We start off with the classic learning of controls, outside of the Asylum we see busted gates, broken street lights, mysterious vehicles, and strange movements and lights in an upstairs room. Strangely enough, we’re unmoved by any of this and decide to climb up some scaffolding and break in. There’s broken glass, turned over furniture, blood everywhere, and TV’s that click on by their own (assuming we didn’t accidentally step on a remote that I missed). We find an unhealthy meal, climb through a vent, and proceed to enter into Ed Gein’s library where we get an unnerving foreshadow of what this game has in store for us. Until next time, folks...
